Why is it more convenient to rent a car?
Because, besides being a comparatively more economical option than most alternative means of transportation like ride-shares, taxis, long-distance buses, or planes, a rented car is a mobility option that offers safety, freedom, and flexibility.
When should I make the reservation?
It is recommended to make the reservation as early as possible to ensure the availability of your preferred vehicle. The reservation can later be modified or canceled.
What are the vehicle return conditions?
The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was delivered: with a full tank of fuel and in the same condition verified during the pre-delivery inspection. Washing is not required unless the vehicle’s dirtiness prevents a proper inspection of the bodywork condition (e.g., if dirt prevents seeing scratches).
What happens if I return the vehicle without fuel?
Rates do not include fuel. If for any reason the car cannot be returned in the same condition, the difference corresponding to the consumed fuel will be charged.
What happens if the rented vehicle is stolen?
The cardholder who provided the guarantee will be responsible for the deductible amount according to each vehicle category in case of theft.
What happens if the vehicle overturns?

Do you offer home delivery?

What is included in the published rates?
Summit Rent a Car offers Drop-Off service (returning the vehicle in a different location). The cost will be calculated on a case-by-case basis, depending on the chosen return location.
What is the tolerance for the vehicle pick-up time?
The scheduled vehicle pick-up time must be respected. If the waiting time exceeds 1 hour, the reservation will be canceled.
When is the rental payment made?
Rentals must be paid at the time of confirming the vehicle reservation.
What is the tolerance for vehicle return time?
The daily rate covers vehicle rental for 24 hours, with a 1-hour tolerance for its return. After the 25th hour, an extra hour fee will be added, corresponding to 1/5 of the daily rate. After exceeding the 5th extra hour, an additional day will be charged, including coverage, taxes, and VAT.
Can an additional driver be designated?
The standard rental agreement is made in the name of a single driver. An additional driver incurs an extra cost.
Can a reservation be canceled?
If you cancel your reservation at least 72 hours before the rental start date, we will refund the full amount paid, minus an administrative fee. Reservations canceled with less notice will incur a one-day charge as a “No Show” fee.
Can additional accessories be rented?
Yes, we offer a wide range of additional accessories for rent. The cost of accessories is not included in the rental rate. Although they can be requested at the time of vehicle pick-up, it is recommended to reserve them in advance.
